The main activity of Cantieri Pelagos Srl is the production of Motor Yachts made entirely from top-quality timber. The keel is a true work of art created by the master shipwrights from Livorno; it is made from solid mahogany, as are the ribs and the planking. The deck is completely panelled in teak. The first step in building a new boat is setting up its most important structural element: the keel. All its parts are made from solid mahogany, except for the stem post, which is made from laminated mahogany veneer.
The designs of the hull are used to prepare the template for the ring frames. These are numerically control cut to form the base for building the actual ribs.
These are then attached to the keel beam to form the strong backbone of the boat.
